Business trip on the subject of "wood" to Croatia from 09/19/2021 to 09/23/2021.

The Dresden and Chemnitz Chambers of Industry and Commerce organized with the support of Honorary Consul Dr. Peter Neumann on a business trip to Croatia on the subject of "wood". In addition to the honorary consul and those responsible for the chambers of industry and commerce (Alexa von Künsberg, IHK Chemnitz; Tobias Runte, IHK Dresden), the trip included various representatives of companies that are active in the wood producing, processing or refining sector.

The program of the trip included a visit to the sawmill Lipa d. o. o. in Novi Marof, a forest tour in Našice and a company visit to the Auric Timber sawmill in Slatina. The highlight of the trip was the diplomatic reception in Varaždin Town Hall, which was attended by the mayor of Varaždin, Neven Bosilj, the President of the City Council of Varaždin, Zdravka Grđan, the President of the Varaždin Chamber of Crafts, Mario Milak, and representatives of the Varaždin Chamber of Commerce and the German-Croatian Society Varaždin. Participation in the summer party of the Croatian Chamber of Foreign Trade in Zagreb marked the end of the business trip.

As part of his official program, Ambassador Gordan Bakota visited the President of the State Parliament, Dr. Matthias Rößler and Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer. In addition to further talks at the IHK, the ambassador signed the golden book of the state capital Dresden in the presence of Mayor Dirk Hilbert. In the evening, Honorary Consul Dr. Peter Neumann arranged a "Croatian Evening" banquet for Ambassador Gordan Bakota in the Taschenberg Palais Kempinski.
